Rules I Try to Live By

(The following rules are expressed in no particular order, as I don't believe that any one of them is any more or less important than another.)

Rules for Living
1) Forgive everybody, everything.
2) Care for those who cannot care for themselves.
3) Be gentle when touching the life of another.
4) Live your life in a manner which reflects who you are. (Don't be a hypocrite.)
5) Always remember: People are the most important thing.
6) Love God, wherever God is found.
7) Seek wisdom in yourself and others.
8) Appreciate family bonds.
9) Be merciful when judging others.
10) Question everything.
11) Nurture and treasure friendships.

Attitude: By Charles Swindoll

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than whatever people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me, and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our Attitudes."

A very good theory to prescribe to, and I do.

So, I went on a retreat at a convent in Atchison. This occured the Friday prior to Halloween this year. It was absolutely amazing! Of course, I took pics and this plaque caught my eye. It really desribes my viewpoint on how we should treat one another. I love it.

Also, saw this and had to "bring it back home."

LOVE IS THE KEY!!!
